This is a birthday card for a dear family friend. The central image uses a technique from Pat Huntoon's Technique Junkies' Newsletter, (http://www.patstamps.com/SOP_home.html) called "That Shimmering Touch". It's a Pearl-Ex spray that makes the image look like it's covered in glittery snow. The Cardinal and holly are colored with SU! Watercolor pencils, painted with the Aquapainter, and then covered with Versamark and clear embossed. The cut out leaves are popped up on Dimensionals. It's all very shiny and glittery IRL. Thanks for looking!

Such a beautiful card with an old fashioned flavor. I love the oval (of course) with the cut away Cardinal, and the cut out holly leaves are an extra special touch. The over-embossing with clear must really make these images pop IRL. Too bad the scan can't do all this shimmer, sparkle and shine justice. Truly a labor of love. TFS. Linda

You made it!! I'm still mopping up the drool - the doctor is worried about dehydration! Once again, I think this is one of the most beautiful cards I have ever seen.
