This experiment was inspired by cathcraft's white poinsettias on red: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers I love the look of white craft ink on Kraft paper, and I wanted to make some white poinsettias with my (sadly) discontinued Painted Poinsettias set. After several tries, this is what I came up with. I stamped the large outline first in Craft White, embossed with white EP, then overstamped with the large bold image in Craft White but not embossed, turned slightly to show under the embossed petals. Now comes the blender pen - used it to paint the embossed image with Craft White. Did a couple of coats because it sinks into the paper a little. It is so pretty - kind of sheer, so it looks like vellum. Very old-fashioned looking. The centers I chalked with Summer Sun and then used Ruby Red, Certainly Celery, Old Olive and More Mustard markers. The background poinsettias are not embossed to keep them softer, but otherwise done the same way.

Very Beautiful, I just love the use of the oval in cards -- one of my favorite things to do. It just makes the card look so elegant -- and of course it doesn't hurt that you are a fantastic stamper!!
