I took about 30 shots of my card but could never get the color right. The actual color paper is Cranbery Crisp and the ink color is Adirondack Denim. The dark cranberry and navy look so good in real life. Oh well. I thought it would be fun to do a skating, cold weather, hockey sort of theme. I matched up my houndstooth background with the fun images of the retired SU set Bundle Up. All the images were stamped with Denim, embossed with clear ep and cut out. I used a craft knife to cut around the skate blades...not easy for these old eyes and unsteady hands. The main layerwas stamped with a SU Houndstooth bg stamp with Denim and embossed with dlear ep. I would imagine if I had not embossed everything the camera would not have had so much shine to deal with and the colors would have come out more true.

Kittie, this is GREAT in the pink/black. I've always thought this was one of the cutest SU winter sets. Thanks for reminding me...as a wonderful set for BRRR January cards! : ) Love the houndstooth with it.

even with the colors off, you've made a great inspired card, Kittie! I love houndstooth on anything, even Don Cherry! Yeah you for the fussy cut on the skates...I know how steady you must be to do.
Merry Christmas
