The Flowersoft Sprinkle Challenge FSC15 this week is: 'Last Minute Holiday cards' - see this link for the deets: (12/8/10) FCS15 Sprinkle Challenge - Last Minute Holiday Cards! by Jeanne S at Splitcoaststampers so I whipped up a couple of cards - all with the same coloured cardstock, sentiment set, embossing folder and layout but just changed a few embellies and one or two other things so they all look a bit different to each other. I had a little production line going with the colouring, doing the liquid applique and cutting up the cardstock and doing the dry-embossing - so it was nice and quick esp. as there wasn't much colouring on the images.
The embossing folder is by Crafts Too: Christmas Holly Frame. I cut the red cs from inside the frame, then layered some green cs underneath, then cut a frame out of it, then attached my image underneath (hope that makes sense - if it doesn't, PM me and I'll try and think of a better way to word it!).
The image was coloured with OMS, Prismacolor pencils and Derwent Coloursoft pencils. I added white liquid applique to the bear's: hat band and pom-pom. I let the liquid applique dry then heated it with my heat-gun to make it "puff up" and then painted over it with white acrylic paint as the white liquid applique tends to look rather creamy - almost lemony - rather than "pure white". I also drew a line with the white paint along the candy cane to add some highlights.
I lightly chalked in the sky around the image with Kaisercolour blue chalk.
The sentiment tag was diecut with my CB and Tiny Tags die set and I ran my Lime Pastel ink pad around the tag.
The ribbon was attached in 2 separate elements and the bow itself was made with my Bow Easy. The sparkly green star brad is by Making Memories.
Lastly, I added Flowersoft Polar White using Aleen's Tacky glue along the bottom of the image.
Thanks for having a peek at my card! Please come and have a peek at my Blog - this link will take you directly to my card: http://instead-of-ironing.blogspot.c...mas-cards.html Scroll down a little as there are 2 cards on the post.
