I love a color challenge where I get to pick the colors. Well almost. At least we were able to pick one of the 299 combos on the list. For this I went with CC195, sahara sand, very vanilla, basic black from 12/2/08. I don't have any sahara sand but the color in this dp is pretty close.
First, I printed out the mini calendar (it's a free download from Red Castle and prints on 1 pg.) on vanilla paper, cut it out and stapled it together. It's backed with a piece of card board and a piece of black c/s.
After I put the front of the 4.25 x 5.5 card together, I thought it might be perfect way to use an easel card and I've been wanting to try it. I used the instructions from the easel card tutorial here on SCS. The faux brads are also a tutorial Here on SCS.
I love the little calendars and I'll probably make a few more to send as Christmas cards. Hopefully, they'll stick around longer than just Christmas on the desks of the recipients.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

Oh, Julie, this is just gorgeous!! I love the idea, the color combo and the design. Thanks so much for all the info and links. I've never tried an easel card either but you've inspired me to try a calendar card. tfs
