For today's Color Challenge we got a chance to look back over the challenges and choose one - I had never done this before and didn't know there was list with all the colors right there on view - it was very handy for today! However I found myself drawn right back to traditional Christmas colors similar to what we'd done last week with CC82 using Old Olive, Real Red, and Very Vanilla. I just love this combination and as I wanted to try out this tree, I went with it. My sister sent me Decembers Cards magazine from the States and in it they had a tree made from ribbon. Instead of using it flat though, I chose to gather one side of the ribbon, and because it was wired, it was really easy. Originally I thought I might have to use needle and thread. I made a little tree shaped base covered with double sided tape and layered up the ribbon, adding pearls. The main panel has rounded corners and the music dp was cut with Nesties Labels four. I used a corner rounder punch on the sentiment and then cut off the ends of one of Spellbinders Fancy tags to add to the top and bottom of it. I attached lace to a strip of red card and put that along the right side. All edges have been distressed lightly with Ranger Distress Antique Linen.

I love your beautiful ribbon tree! I really want to try this! The pearls are perfect decorations for the tree and I love the die cut fancy tag embellishment as well as the music score paper!

Oh my word! I don't know where to start! Your tree is amazing, and the sentiment framing is delish!!! This is pretty, from top to bottom, and loaded with charm! What a beautiful piece. TFS!
