And I thought we were going Down Under when I saw the sneak peek. I nearly checked out if they have goldfinches in Australia, but in the end I just brought an ornament Lorraine gave me last year upstairs to have ready for a reference .
Quick and simple card - it's too cold to stay in my attic for long - two birds, and this close to December it's time to bring along some mince pies to the tea-party.
5 3/4" base. Papers are Basic Grey Eva. Base sponged with ColorBox Olive. Base layer punched with Fiskars Heritage corner punch and Dew Drops added. ODBD image stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with H2Os, layered up with oval and scalloped oval Nestabilities. Embellishment made with Lotus pendant dies and lots of Glossy Accents. Glossy Accents also on bird's beak and legs.
I should get this in the post to Linda tomorrow.

I really like the juxaposition of your spot-on rendering of a golden finch and the fantastical "Roc"-like bird in the baroque scrolls. Beautiful colors.

Well you had the perfect stamp for this teapot complete with the thistle. Your stamped bird is awesome - I love that you have the second one on the dp. Great way to feature them both. Stay warm!
