I made this simple layout Christmas card. I love snowmen and this snowman is from a 1999 SU Retired set.
I used SU Candy Cane Christmas DSP and white card stock embossed with snow swirls. Flower soft for below the snowman and some sparkly silver snowflakes from my friend, Benzi. Thanks Benz!
I watercolored the snowman, used crystal effects on the ornaments and dazzling diamonds on the snowman's body and face. Sponged clouds a real faint shade of blue to appear more wintry. Paper pierced the main mat.
I made the icicles by spreading a line of crystal effects on wax paper, spreading it down like icicles, then sprinkling dazzling diamonds on top. Left it to sit for several hours and then just peeled off the whole thing from the wax paper. Learned that in stamp class.
I used the SU Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. It's great to use as it looks like ribbon, so you can use all the matching colors for a ribbon if you don't have one in your stash!
Think that's about it. Thanks for taking a look and have a great day!

Ooh, look at that 'cute as a button' snowman! You know I love snowmen!!!! And, now you're making your own icicles? I may be jealous! LOL
Seriously, they look awesome. Glad to see you using those wonderful snowflakes. And, it seems you have another punch. Did Heather send that to you? If so, ...... you know. I'm in love with your card, Pamzi!

Love it - fabulous colours for a Christmas card. Love that little snowman. Da Benz says she loves snowmen. Well, me too. Even though I'm less than fond of winter, I love snowmen. At least I love images of snowmen. They always seem so happy. And I can relate to their body shape. Wonderful work Pamzi, aka Fruitflake. This is a wonderful layout, great job on the clouds and icicles. Do you actually get real winter weather where you are? Or do you just like to tease people who do know what real winter weather is like? We've still got at least another 10 days in the sunshine so we're soaking it all in! Fantastic card Flakezi. RYPH!

I am in the Christmas Spirit big time and just love looking at this Holly Jolly Snowman! The rhinestone snowflakes are awesome and so are the frosty icicles. I wish you could see my foyer...I decorated it to look like a icy cold wintry day in Connecticut. It was 80 degrees here and I was so hot!!! lol My oldest Son said he would help me put up decorations this week end. So what would normally take me a week I did in two days including dusting and washing windows...I just need to vacuum. I wore him and his girlfriend out...lol Of course, I can hardly move this morning myself...hahahaha This is just so darn cute and a beautiful card for that Snowman loving person on your card giving list.

Psst...I put up 4 Christmas Trees yesterday!!!

Pam, this is absolutely darling! Don't ya just love some of the retired stuff? One of the reasons why it's so hard to not accumulate so many stamps -- ha-ha! I love all the sparkle on this card, and it's inspiration for me as I work on my Christmas cards -- I am SO behind! Hugs, my friend!
