Well, I finished slapping together my Christmas cards, must be a record, I really missed not doing all that coloring & cutting. I bet I won't wait until the last minute next year!! It is really a pain having all my toys at one house, then going back to the other house, I could carry the stuff back and forth, but that also would be a pain.
I don't usually make Thanksgiving cards, but my Aunt in AL just loves the cards I send her, and she is trying her hand at it now, she sent me a Halloween card, which I don't bother with either, so I figured what the heck, I'll make her a Thanksgiving card, then I realized since my Mother is down there right now, I better make her one too. Haven't decided which one goes to who yet. Instead of making them identical, I changed some stuff, they can compare and decide which one they like the best. Who knows, my Aunt might wind up with both of them, since she saves every one I have ever made.
This is the first card, I stamped the boy image from CDS Billy & Maggie Fall Fun with onyx black versafine ink, colored with prisma-colored pencils & goo gone, cut out with rectangle nesties. chose some dp from DCWV The Fall Stack, then chose a color for the scalloped rectangle. I already had the green image (probably peeled paint distress) for the designer label, laying here, from something else I had been working on and didn't use it is from the CDS Designer Label Celebrations set, and cut out with the CDS Designer Label Die set, stamped Happy Thanksgiving with vintage sepia versafine ink, and cut out with the CDS Designer label dies. Punched out some extra leaves with a leaf punch and taped & glued it all together. Actually, I got ahead of myself and applied the red liquid applique to the top of the hat, before it was cut out with the nesties, and wound up getting red where it wasn't supposed to be, so rather than start over, I covered it with the punched out leaves, I didn't make that mistake on the second go round. Colored the eyes with a black glaze pen, and added a dot of white gel pen. TFL and any comments.
