Hi! This card was made for today's Inspiration Challenge: Plaid Pony Vintage and this week's Stampin B's Challenge to use snowflakes on a card. I chose THIS SCARF as inspiration.
Mark and I spent ANOTHER day cleaning at my parents' house, and then went in to work the late shift. We just got home at 3:20AM...I went into my stamp room and decided I was going to STAMP! I need the "release." I swear...I don't think ANYONE could clean and work as hard as we have in the past 3 days...And, we are about a half of the way through! I'm TOTALLY serious...But, my dad has been helping us. And, we realized yesterday, that my father hadn't been taking ANY medication for the past 3 weeks!!!!!!!!!! It seems his doctor had NOT called in refills for him! WHAT???????? I had been so consumed with visiting my mother when I would go over there, that I would just ask the normal, "How are you?" "Did you pay all your bills?" "Did you let the dogs out?" type of questions of my father...I didn't even ASK about his health...I feel really horrible, as I realize now that he was just trying to survive. And, family members are NOT helping us. The story of "I have 3 children. What am I supposed to do with them?" is getting REALLY old...But, at least I'm not "MAD AT DAD" any more. And, Mark isn't either. Now... we just feel really guilty. Mother is STILL in the hospital. She's gotten 3 blood transfusions so far.
By the way, thank all of you who donate blood and platelets. You have saved more lives than you will ever know.
This morning's card is a REALLY fast card...I embossed the Cherry Slush 100lb Card Stock with the TH Sizzix Texture Folder. The image was stamped in Adirondack's Pitch Black and sponged in with Tea Stain Distress INk.
Finished card size: 5 1/2" x 4 1/4"

Are all you ladies this quick - 19 minutes-WoW! Love the tree, the plaid and that gorgeous cherry embossed bg! You're a wonderful talent, and a lovely, caring daughter. I know looking after older and/or sick parents is challenging. Stay strong, you are a blessing.
