Even though this was the technique last week, I really wanted to give it a try. Fun but subtle results. The water stamped image is a lot more visible IRL. I'm also including this in this month's FC gallery and here's the book Snow Crystals. The cover alone is wonderful.
I used a brayer & a Kaleidacolor blue breeze rainbow ink pad on a piece of white card stock. I spritzed the large snowflake background with water & stamped it onto the brayered background. It's faint, but it adds a little depth to the background. For a little extra something, I stamped the large snowflake with the silver ink. On part of this background, I die cut the tag shape using the new tag die but only cut the first half of the tag. I turned the tag around, matched it up & cut the other half to get the scallop edge on both ends of my tag. I traced around the die & hand cut the white layer.
For the greeting, I stamped then die cut it with a Spellbinders Fancy tag. With the die still in place. I sponged a little ink inside the edges. I stamped and die cut snowflake using the ODBD snowflake die. The finished card measures 5.5 x 4.25.
Thanks so much for looking! Close ups are on the ODBD blog today.

It is going to be so bad for me seeing all the books people are inspired by - many of our shelves are already two deep. This is so beautiful - that intense deep blue background shading to pale is wonderful.

Wow, Julie, this is STUNNING!! What gorgeous shades of blue, and that snowflake is fantastic. Your nestie layering is a work of beauty in this superbly balanced piece.
