I tried two new techniques for this Thanksgiving card. To make the background I applied ink around the edges of a large acrylic block, then I misted the block with water and just stamped directly down onto the card.
The leaf was cut out of tin foil and then embossed using a cuttlebug folder. Then I applied alcohol inks with a sponge to color it (I tried the felt with the inkssential handle too, but a simple sponge gave better coverage for this project...maybe because I embossed before I added the alcohol inks?). I glued the metal leaf down with diamond glaze, then stamped the sentiment and the little leaves.
I like the look, but the paper curled up so much when it dried, that I wish I'd cut out the background and glued it onto another card just to keep it more even.
Thanks for looking!

Very, very pretty - love the mottled look of your wonderful fall colours. The metal leaf is gorgeous. I've had that issue with the paper curling too...sometimes I make an almost full-size insert out of thinner cardstock for the inside of the card and it makes it a little less 'curly'.
