I haven't been able to join in the challenges lately; but, when I saw irishgreensue was crowned, I just had to come out and play. Sue, I know you are just glowing with royalty at being Queen this week; however, remember the crown won't last 4-ever and cowboys aren't into royalty!! Win one, lose one, what can you say!! LOL!
I chose a holiday card - shocker - that Sue made found here:
I wasn't smart enough to make the gift card holder, so I went with the card. I changed the layout to have it top to bottom instead of side to side like Sue's card. I used 2 ornaments from a different set which were embossed with red. I love that SU ornament punch and I used my MS ornament border punch at the bottom to stay in "theme"!! I added a blue gem to the inside of the ornaments. I used some dp from SU Christmas Treasures; but, I don't know if these colors are working for me. But, I did try my best to honor the queen. I had already adhered my cardstock down when I realized I meant to hang the ornaments with string and couldn't tuck it behind, so I found these sparkly dots. Let me tell you, those things were not easy to use. Kept getting stuck on my fingers and were so small. So, you owe me on here Sue!
The only thing popped up on dimensionals here are the ornaments. Trying to make more postage friendly card especially for the holidays!
For added fun for our fun friend and queen, I added a cute little reindeer to the left. I was going to use something more in line with the character of the card; but, something told me to add this for Sue. This lil' reindeer may be travelin' on top of your roof this holiday season. No, not a cowboy, a reindeer, you got it???? I only give away reindeer, not cowboys!! LOL!
I hope you enjoy your week Sue and I'm so delighted you were chosen.
Thanks for taking a look.
P.S. Sue: If you look really, really close you can see a faint outline of green on the dsp. Drats, I forgot to make green the main color!! What do you expect from a Fruitcake!

Too cute Pam! Love the ornaments and the matching border punch and DP! I loved that holiday paper, and I'm hoarding the last little bit of it I have. Love the tiny reindeer instead of a cowboy!

I love how you used the gems to have the ornaments hang from. Awesome idea and a great detail I will be case-ing from you. This card is a wonderful Christmas card. Such an eye for detail you have. I need to put it into my faves...I like to refer back to the card designs and details. A card fit for a Queen!!

Ah my dear Punch Pal Pamzi! You are out there my friend!! And creating fabulous cards too! Love this wonderful card with its ornament punched border to match the punched ornaments. And neither of those punches reside in my collection. So, sweet Pamzelina, if I'm expected to mail you punchez, you my crazy friend must do the same. These two will do. For now. Your marbles still appear to be on the lam. All I see is scattered bits of punched paper. Are you trying to tell us you are 'scattered' these days? Sue will love this. Especially that frolicking reindeer. Wonder what he's been into. Hugz and RYPH!

Merry and Bright is right, Pam. Love this beauty with the gorgeous paper, punches, and ornaments. Oh, I know where that little reindeer is headed...straight to my house with that ornament border punch. Hope he doesn't go by Izzy's house first and put it in her mailbox. She has probably bought one while on her 100th vacation trip in 2 months. LOL

Struggle though you did, this card was well worth your efforts. It is beautiful. I love the punched border and your ornaments. The papers are very pretty too. I really like the blue with the other colors. Great combo.

Hey Pammy Cakes, so glad you could join in this week to celebrate with all of us!!
Sorry I had an afternnoon gift class that prevented me from commenting today till now - whew, I have a lot of catching up to do!!! You stamping gals are all the BOMB!!
Pam, really have missed you and your wonderful cards. You certainly made up for it with this beauty!! Looks like you were on an ornament kick today between the border and your SU images ~ hey, no sweat, I am just so happy you are here!!
Those shiny red ornament with the rhinestone bling and those sparkly dots look amazing!!! This combination of colors is hard for me, with blue mixed in with the red, green and brown, but you have pulled it off mightily, tying it altogether with your blue felt ribbon!! The reindeer was really a cute touch (hey they have DEER out in COWBOY country too, ya know!!) My cowboy knows he has already won my heart, since I am only Queen for a week before I pass my crown onto the next deserving stamper, so I am not worried about him straying anywhere!
Thanks so much for always leaving the sweetest words of encouragement in my gallery and those of all the other stampers. At least for now, because once that man of yours gets home, I can picture you disappearing for at least a month - you got a lot of catching up to do with your 'real life' cowboy!
Hugs,
Sue
PS - way to go on the GREEN CARD!!! LOL I can see the teensiest lil' bit of green, but not enough for IRISHGREENSUE! ah well, maybe next time, huh?

Pssst....hey, Cowgirl- Hatpin, use a hatpin to pick up and apply them sparkly thangs! Silly! Oh my word, you got it going on here! Love this beautiful case. Your ornaments are a knock out! (and I think your reindeer is really our mascot, Houston) Yep! Hugs....
