The TLC295 and CAS92 challenges gave me the perfect opportunity to make a Christmas cards with my favorite motif.........Trees! I used Scenic Season for my stamp set, which includes a scene with 4 fir trees and the sentiment all on one lg. stamp. I did stamp a partial tree on the rt.
I sponged the CAS color combo inks onto the WW background then spritzed the stamp with water, which had White Shimmery paint added. I got a shadowy effect, which does not show up in the photo as it is quite subtle, but.....honest it is there. I then stamped the image again with Old Olive onto the inked BG. After all was dry I sprayed again with the water and shimmery paint, which gave the scene more shimmer and a more wintery effect. Then after heat drying I used the white gel pen on the trees for more snow. It really is prettier and quite wintery looking IRL.
It is tough to photo today as we are having a dark, rainy winter day on the south coast of Oregon.
I kept the image unadorned except for the distressed and sponged edges on the layers and 4 corner silver brads. Quite quick and easy card and you never know how this water stamping is going to turn out. Enjoy and TFL.......

Well, it looks great on my monitor, Nancy, but I bet it's perfect in real life. I keep forgetting to grab and use my Shimmer Paint. Thanks for the reminder.

It looks pretty darn great on line....bet it's beautiful IRL! Thanks for sharing, I love this stamp set but had never thought to do anything like this. I particularly appreciate the directions you shared on the "how to" of making the card.
