Yay - the last of the HYCCT challenges, and what fun I had this morning browsing through those treasure stores. I was sure I'd use the first one I bookmarked, but somehow I ended up in some of the Romantic ones and surprised myself at how much inspiration I found there. I thought there would be a pleasing symmetry in having my last card, as well as my first, pink themed, so in the end I chose this RomAntic Day treasury. I took my inspiration from the first picture of the candlestick, the screen in the bottom left picture and the pearls here and there.
A2 white base. My pleated screen is pearlescent pale blue card scored every 1/4", pleated, punched along each section and with ribbon drawn through. I tied a knot in one end of the ribbon, threaded it through and then just pulled it ever so slightly tight before tying a knot at the other end.
Sentiment is Sincere Salutations stamped with Brilliance Orchid on white card, sponged with ColorBox Pigment Pistachio and layered on pink Bazzill Bling. Man, there was a desperate scouring of my scraps to find that, as I'd used my last big scrap for the curly scroll and the scalloped circle.
Image was stamped twice on white card, base layer cut with Nestabilities. Both flowers were coloured with H2Os, then I cut the top one out and stuck it down firmly in the centre, but with the upper petals raised up a bit on foam so they will keep their dimension. Pearls in the centre and lots of Liquid Pearls here and there.
Thank you for this wonderful inspiring challenge, Lydia. I find Etsy so big and overwhelming that I don't usually go there except for the inspiration challenges.
