Hi! This card was made for today's Featured Stamper Challenge: CHERYLQUILTS. I chose THIS CARD to CASE. (Copy And Share Everything.) It also fits this week's Speedy's Friend's Challenge to make a holiday card.
I wanted to use this sentiment, today, because it seems that my family's lives are all at unrest this past month. (Actually, we have been like this for over three years...because of my mother's illness. And before that, it was my cancer. Before that, it was my FIL...and so on...) It has been a very long road. I spent the morning looking for our lost dog, Scout. Markie came to the conclusion that Scout was taken in by a family who needed a loving dog. At that moment, I hugged him and rushed to take a shower, where I cried for over 20 minutes. Mark turned the television up pretty loud so that Markie couldn't hear me. Then, this afternoon, we spent the time loving up our puppies. Did you know that a boxer pup can finish off a pork femur in about an hour??? I swear, that Tom Kat is a chewing machine! LOL
I am VERY far behind on my Christmas cards, and when I saw the card in Cheryl's gallery, I KNEW it would be perfect transformed into a Holiday card. I kept the colors, and the "tree" theme. I changed the ribbon placement and button to brads.
The tree was stamped in Adirondack's Espresso. I sponged in the tree and the background with Distress inks. Next, I used 2-Way glue to adhere glitter to the tree. To finish it off, I aded in Flower Soft for snow.
Finished card size: 5" square
Total time to complete: 42 minutes
