Wonderful sketch! I put a little spin on it by making my center panel square instead of oval and I also divided my background into 3 panels.
For the center leaf, I inked the image with a combination of the dk brown, burnt sienna and wild honey inks. It's cut out w/ the deckle scissors and attached to a dk brown layer. The panel behind it has the leaf stamped twice; once in the burnt sienna and once in wild honey.
On the 3 bg panels, I stamped the small script w/ alabaster onto the choc c/s, the verse onto rust (w/ the same ink) and on the mustard, I stamped the shadow leaf w/ the wild honey and the leaf vein w/ the burnt sienna. They're all edged w/ the redwood marker. I used the leaf vein again on the torn vellum piece w/ the alabaster ink. Everything's attached to a 5.5 x 4.25 ivory card.
Thanks so much for looking! Close ups are on my blog: The Write Stuff

Extraordinarily gorgeous for a perfect fall card. Your colors are so rich and love the detailed veins on the leaves. So beautiful.

Absolutely gorgeous, Julie! Your images and colors are just breath-taking. All the richness of fall colors. I also really like the stamped vellum layer you added.
