When I saw that the Ways to Use It challenge today was Fabric, I knew I *had* to play today!! I just love fabric. I have an extensive fabric collection (along with a large stash of buttons) and I love using it on cards. One of the easiest ways to use it is my favorite: stitching on swatches to use in place of DP.
The colors are from the new Play Date Cafe challenge to use any combo of colors from this inspiration photo. I searched through my fabrics until I found this great swirly "pink lemonade" fabric, a favorite design left from my Sew Sweet Bags days of sewing fabric totes and handbags.
Thanks so much for dropping in to take a look!
Emily

so pretty! I have yet to foray into fabric on cards. But I do have a sewing machine now...just gotta work myself into it! I love the colors and the juxtaposition of patterns of the fabric and dsp. TFS!

Pink lemonade is a perfect description for your pretty, pretty card with the swirly fabric and stitching - the little row of button flowers is just as cute as can be! I've always thought that my love of the colors and patterns of dp is just like the passion my quilter friends have for their fabrics! (So far this day has been too busy for me to delve into my fabric box and play in this challenge - but who knows, the day isn't over yet!) Anyway, abslolutely fabulous card, Emily!!
