Raise your hand if you know the song – Stairway To Heaven by Led Zeppelin. This song has so many memories for me of my high school days back in the seventies. We played this song so much that we nearly wore out the record. Yes, I’m talkin’ vinyl LP’s that you played on that old fashioned thing called a record player! LOL This song is still going strong on the radio after all these years. I still sing along in my car and know every word – and I’ll bet you do too. Funny how I can’t remember where my car keys are, but I’ve never forgotten those lyrics in my old age. LOL I guess I’ll know when it’s time for me to go to the nursing home – when I can no longer sing this song.
There is a great video tutorial here in the resource section to show you how to do these Tri Shutter Cards if you are not familiar. Give it a try, itÂ’s not as hard as it may seem. I have made several and just love how they can look so different. I printed the song lyrics on a transparency and layered that on top of the gold glitter paper and attached it with brads. If you look closely, you can see that I also attached the big key and keyhole with tiny brads as well. I used my paper piercer to make the holes for the brads.
Check out the other photo showing the front of card when closed.
I hope you enjoyed the stroll down memory lane. Just a reminder: If thereÂ’s a bustle in your hedgerow - donÂ’t be alarmed now. LOL
If you listen very hard, the tune will come to you at lastÂ…Â…..
Thanks for stopping in to take a look.
Rock on!

Your card is very pretty!! I remember this song very fondly. I had a boyfriend who dedicated and sang it to me while playing his guitar every night I was drinking. He has no idea the influence he had on me to this very day and I will cherish that song forever all because of him.

You had me singing along just by the title! One of my all time LZ favorites, and now you've immortalized it in a card... how cool is that! Love all the references to the song from the stairsteps to the glittering gold. It's absolutely gorgeous!
BTW, that bit about the nursing home... I bet if we ever end up there, one day this song will play over the P.A. system and we'll both perk up and start singing the lyrics!
Your head is humming and it won't go
In case you don't know
