Can you believe it's over a year since the tutorial for the fan fold flower went up and this is the first time I've tried it! First time I've managed a Free 4 All since we went on holidays, too. When I read the challenge this morning I was thinking of a 3D project, but while I enjoy making them I find them harder to use, so I went for a card in the end.
Finished card is 5" wide x 5 1/2" high, cut from Bazzill Bling, top corners rounded, bottom front edge punched with the SU lacy scallop. Sentiment stamped with black, embossed with black tinsel EP and scored above and below, with Dew Drops added.
The fan flower was plain red paper which I stamped and embossed with a stamp from Carte Postale in gold, and stamped with Music Notes in black. After making the flower I edged it with a gold leafing pen. Centre is gold microbeads with a light green gem.
In hindsight I should have chosen the lighter of the two reds I had - by the time I'd stamped and embossed it it ended up a bit darker than I wanted. It's layered up on two panels cut with Spellbinders Lacy Squares - the gold one is embossed and popped up on foam. There is NO white on this card anywhere at all .
I'll try for a better daylight photo tomorrow if we're lucky, we've had barely any sunshine the last few days.
