I am uploading this for a fellow SCSer whom has not yet started her own gallery! And by the looks of this card, you will all agree that SHE NEEDS TO!!!
Anyway, I wanted to share this card and her adorable story. You see she came along with us to the Dog Racing Teaparty in honor of Rachel but no one got to see her card or read her story! So I am taking care of that, right here, right now!
Leave a comment of encouragement on this adorable card for Carolyn (aka CATAANNE) and maybe we can talk her into starting her gallery with other cards the likes of this one! Yay!
Here is HER STORY!!!
I'm Stan the Handy Dandy Fix It Man! I just got word about the first canine race (The Raleigh Drift)! I am heading that way as quick as I can since I know that with all those canines heading down to see Brodie Layne, everything on the way will be a total mess, you know how dogs like to dig, etc. Well, I heard Anne Ryan spent mega bucks fixing up her yard for the big event and I just heard through the canine vine that it was totally ruined and left for a total mess. I just felt I have to stop to help her out. I don't have a dog but do have a super duper truck loaded with supplies to take care of anything! They don't call me "Stan the Handy Dandy Fix It Man for nothing! Karen (Redbugdriver) has a dog and got started late. Maybe her dog can ride along with me since we both come from the same state! I will try to catch him on my way. I think by now he's too late to enter the race. But if he minds his P's and Q's, I'll reward him with his own special tree I'm bringing along! After all the messes are all cleaned up, it might be snowing by the time I get there! But NEVER FRET, "Stan the Handy Dandy Fix It Man" will certainly be there! I will toot my horn loudly so all can hear as I approach! Those poor doggies who are tuckered out can hitch a ride home with me after I have caught up on all the canine news and visited with my pal Brodie and my new friend Rachel. See you Soon!
Told ya it was a cute card and story! You rocked this challenge Carolyn!!! Oh, and just in case you can't see it, that's a compass attached to the hood of his truck so he doesn't get lost on the way to the *race*!

Good grief, Carolyn, are there any tools Stan has forgotten? He's bound to be one busy fixer-upper and, even if he had made the race, he'd be too busy to watch it.
Love that you brought another tree along...it'll get plenty of use.
Great job on the challenge. Love your "filled to the brim" truck.
Now, don't leave it to Stan; get that gallery going!

Hey Carolyn, This is great! I know exactly what you mean. I was totally intimidated for 6 months after I signed on, both computer and artistic fear. I started right away with the technique lovers and then the teapot challenges. The 2 groups are like families of familiar characters. If you want feedback and ask for an honest critique you will get that plus good friends who offer encouragement. Look in anyones gallery and you can see their growth as an artist. Like NIKE says, Just do it. With confidence your willingness to try new things increases and you develop in areas you never thought possible. I'll be looking out for the grand opening of your gallery, cheers to you. Elizabeth
