Goodness, I am glad I didn't act on the sneak peek and waited for today. I'd have focussed on the night sky and bat, and not that little Mistey Bitsey spider. I've never made a Halloween coloured spider before - it works well!
5 3/4" square base, sponged with black. Green layer, then some My Mind's Eye Bloom and Grow embossed with the Fiskars web texture plate, and then the web gone over with black marker. The spider is made from beads - I had just exactly one spare orange leg bead left at the end - and the fly is a bilious green button (too many sweet treats!!) with a scrap of ribbon threaded through for wings, and wobble eyes.
This will go to Jacob - I was his age when I had my tonsils out and I am so glad that was all the extent of it for me - poor Jacob!
I'll bring along some candied popcorn too - it's the only time of the year I make it; much as I love it it's a LOT of sugar. And this year I am out of corn syrup (not widely available over here) and will have to use our sugar-cane based syrup instead.
