This is not the color of pink I wanted to use for my breast cancer card but when I saw this paper I thought it was appropriate because these are the leftover birth announcments for my granddaughter, Savannah Cassidy who is 11 1/2 years old. She was diagonosed with Leukemia on her mother's birthday - which is the day before her own birthday, when she was 4 years old. She went through 2 1/2 years of brutal kemo treatments and now it has been 5 years since the kemo and she is offically in remission and considered cured!! Praise God!!

Oh, Phyllis, what a beautiful card, especially in light of the story behind the birth announcements and your granddaughter's remission. Miracles do happen now and again.

What a lovely card and that it is tied to your granddaughter's birth announcements now that she is 5 years cancer free is like passing on hope from her to the person who will receive this card.

What a touching story Phyllis! OMG! And what an appropriate time to use your special *Savannah* birth announcement! I honestly can't even imagine...the highs from having a sweet little child in the family to the lows of knowing what lies ahead and back to the highs of her being normal, cured, and done with it! Wow, I love happy endings and am so thankful your sweet Savannah had one!!!
This card is absolutely beautiful! You have such a knack for embellishment placement.....yes, that's a technique and if it isn't, then I declare it one! And I am the hostess of this challenge after all! Snort!!!!
Beautiful, beauiful, beautiful card! And don't think I don't see all your scrabble squares!!!
Your story about your beloved granddaughter brought tears to my eyes and I thank you for sharing. Your card is simply wonderful, so full of visual delights and even more special by using your Savannah's birth announcement paper.

WOW Phyllis this is one spectacular creation! I just love the flowers and that tiny butterfly and those pearls that look like they came out of my Mother's jewelry box. What a beauty!
