1.You all know about Elmo, the furry and red little monster from Sesame Street.
2.Well behind every great Muppett is a loving Mother, and I am here to tell you about Elmo's mother, Mrs. Elmo.
3.Mrs. Elmo's fur is shocking pink and was quite surprised at Elmo's fire engine red fur at birth, but there are many different lineages of furry monsters on both sides of the family so that explains this red headed giggly cutie!
4.Mrs. Elmo has survived breast cancer and volunteers at the hospital playing scrabble with the patients as they receive their chemo, which can take hours at a time. She LOVES to volunteer and LOVES to play scrabble and LOVES the color pink!
5.My card was inspired by THIS CARD of Jenns. I changed from Elmo(red) to Mrs. Elmo (brightpink), made a square card, and added pink ribbon, primas and scrabble letters. Congrats Jenn for being featured stamper!!! Thanks for the challenges Bethie and Cindy and have a sublime Sunday!
6.I really do love scrabble and played with my Mom for hours and hours during her life and especially during her illness. She could whip my butt at the NY Times crossowrd any day but I usually won at scrabble. the games score paper was the last game my Mom and I ever played, and she won! My brother swears I let her but I did not.

Awww...Nancy.....what a wonderful story......its so nice that you have those memories with your Mom playing scrabble! And I am glad that those memories brought you to make this card! It is absolutely precious. Elmo is about the cutest darn thing ever! I love this card and to be quite honest, red hair is much better than the likes of Cookie Monster's Blue! Yikes!
You rocked this challenge. I love how you were inspired and your story was heartwarming. I loved seeing your cherished scrabble score-sheet! Thanks for playing and for using *real* words! Tee hee!
