Storage solutions. This photo shows the marker in a white CS sleeve because the transparencies are hard to see in a photo of website quality.
I really, really, really wanted my SU markers to be stored right next to the same color SU inkpad. Right here on SCS there are ads for beautiful units that hold the re-inker, the pad and the marker. However, since IÂ’m already on inkpad storage version 3.4 above my desk, the current equipment has to stay. I saw those lovely storage systems made by handier stampers using PVC tubes or something similar. Ack! Not that handy here. We have a rule at our house: if it requires more than a screwdriver we get to hire the handyman.
I found my super inexpensive stack of projector transparencies, cut and creased, them, folded a triangle tent around the marker with an extended lip to use ATG gun tape to stick it to the slot for the inkpad. The triangle holds the marker snuggly yet allows me to slide it in and out easily. The beloved SU marker case (in the photo) is now used for the non-SU markers. This system is working well and cost about $4 and 3 hours.
