Come on down, Queen Lori!!! Yes, MelodyGal (Lori) is our reigning queen this week in the Queen for the Day challenge, and she is so very deserving of this honor. Lori is kind, supportive of others, and a terrific stamper!
It didn't take me long to settle on a card of hers because I immediately fell in love with her Purple Heart Thanks with that sweet postage stamp she used in her design. I've been wanting to try the Faux Postage technique, and I finally did it. (Beate has a great tutorial in the Resources section on this technique.)
Things I changed:
1. stamps
2. colors
3. slight sketch design changes
4. no designer paper
My friend Traci sent me this cool coffee-themed stamp set earlier this year for my birthday cause she knows I'm a coffeeholic. I colored these images with reinkers and blender pen. I added liquid applique to the latte foam and then added chocolate sprinkles (dots with marker) after I heat set the liquid applique.
Congratulations, Lori! Wear that crown proudly, m'dear.

GASP!!! I LOVE this stamp set!! Those cups of yummy coffee growing on stems is the most clever idea I've seen in ages, and that postage stamp sentiment is so cute! I really (REALLY) like the colors you used here too! Beautiful job on this card!!

Charlene, I am so happy you picked my Purple Heart card to CASE. You did an amazing job. Your colors are gorgeous and your coloring is super, embossing is beautiful and I love the liquid applique. Yummy! A nice latte with chocolate on top sounds wonderful right now. Thanks so much for your sweet comments and for playing along.
