'Twas the night before Christmas,
And all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring;
Not even a (house) mouse!
I think most of us are familiar with Clement C Moore's famous Christmas poem - of course, I added the 'house' because I made a card using a House Mouse stamp. Sweet little things all tucked up asleep waiting for Santa!! Anyway......
I coloured the image with OMS, Prismacolor pencils and Derwent Coloursoft pencils. I added Kaisercolour yellow chalk for the "glow" from the Christmas light, and added some darker shading around the image with chalks as well. Not sure if you can see, but I added Crystal Effects (same as Dimensional Magic) to the Christmas light to make it look like a real bulb. There is a close-up photo of the light on my Blog.
The sentiment tag was diecut with my CB and Tiny tags die - I added the tiny red/green hearts which are the leftover punchies from my EK Success Arrows border punch. The holly on the top LHS of the image was simply cut out from the dp and glued on. I added a little bit of shading and highlighting to the holly with chalks to give them some depth.
The ribbon was attached in 2 separate elements, and the bow itself was made with my Bow Easy. I sewed the button on with red sewing thread, then glued the bow on.
