Well thank you gals, one and all for bringing a luscious color challenge. Indeed the leaves are falling here in the PNW. Come have a look at my ode to fall!
You know they say timing is everything. I must have had this coolio sentiment from RiverCity RubberWorks two falls now...waiting for just the right timing. Today's the day! I stamped it on Basic Grey Basic White ledger paper with Versacolor and embossed in clear.
"she watched
a leaf float
to the
ground
and was
reminded
of her
own life
falling
gently into
place...
at last"
Thanks goes to Roxi for the kickin' SC300 sketch which I decided to use again. I used the So Saffon as my large panel leaf embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. The panels are Basic Grey, the raspberry from Sultry and the tangerine from Lime Rickey. I stamped Komodo's Gingko leaf (dessert option to use white, in my case Snow Cap by Adirondack) on both panels to capture that vision of 'falling'.
My neighbor has a specimen Gingko that captures my vision every year, it is magnificent as it changes from chartreuse green to spun gold and the leaves flutter in the breezes. It's been quite a year for me recovering from losing loved ones and our sweetest ever cat and then a house remodel. I want those old carefree days back, even if it's just for a bit!
Thanks for looking and your comments always bless me!

Susan, I'm so sorry for your loss. I do hope that things can settledown for you. I've missed you. I know about the remodel thing, my husband and I just did our kitchen. It took us 5 months to do it ourselves.
This is a lovely card and the sentiment is so beautiful .

How fun to see you in the gallery today, Susan!!! Your sketch is pure 'Joy'. So distinctive, so simple, so wonderful. Glad you joined the party. I guess I better get my card done now that the work day is over.
