I tried this technique out first on a card I made for my son. Loved it so much knew this is what I wanted to do for this year's Christmas Cards. This technique is called "crimped diamond" and you can see the tutorial here:
I bought the Bright Gold Glitter Cardstock last year with the intent of using it for Christmas this year. The color cardstock is burgandy and from Bazzill. I also had the gold glitter ribbon which I thought would accent it nicely. The image is heat embossed using gold embossing powder, and the image is from SU Holy Triptych. The embossing powder doesn't match perfectly, but I think it is close enough. The sentiment inside is from "The Thomas Kinkade Series" and says "Wise Men Still Seek Him".
All in all, I am really happy with how the card came out. The image on the scanner really doesn't do the glitter cardstock justice. It is really sparkly.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and as always love to hear what you think.
