Thanks Julia for a very creative challenge today, Pendants...this was just what I needed to get into the groove. And thanks again to Roxi for the super great #300 SC.
My ds is beginning his first year in public school as a sophomore. It's been 15 days and he's had 4 tardies! From being laid back homeschoolers to bells has been quite a challenge. He feels talking with a student that needs a bit of encouragement is more important than being 1 minute late for class. While I agree with him, I must support the 'system'. Here's hoping this will encourage HIM!!!
I used domino tile stickers I picked up at a garage sale last w/e. A sweet serendipity...the numbers add up to his age! I mounted them above the yellow panel that was embossed with Tim Holtz's ray design. The bottom panels are from Cosmo Cricket 'Get Happy' paper group. I stamped Imagine (Invoke Arts) at the top, 100% (Cloud 9) on the bottom and used Purple Onion Designs 'Lettera' smalls for the word EFFORT.
Thank you very much for stopping by and leaving a comment. I'll be back in awhile to view all the wonderful creations in the gallery. I've got a lunch with a very important boy...but you bet I'll have him back in time for that bell!!!
Some of you might catch the transparent star over the 'a'...that is for my shining star of a son.

This is so clever and funky! You really put a lot of thought into this to make it very personal, and it's bound to really encourage your son! Love the way you've strung those domino's onto a ribbon, it's one unique banner!

This is a very cool card using today's challenge!! It is wonderful for you to offer your son encouragement. He seems to have gotten your gift of encouragement too, with helping his classmates. What a warm family!! :>)
