Happy 300th Sketch Challenge...I've mentioned many times this is the hardest challenge for me. Guess I think outside the lines way too much. However, I had to honor this big milestone and I needed a birthday card for my Daddy's upcoming 80th celebration.
I knew I wanted to use this fantastic hand holding time image from Stamp Francisco. I stamped this image three times to get the hand and the watches with different colors. I embossed the watches with gold EP. And Technique Tuesdays' Let Them Eat Cake set of sentiments was perfect for just what I needed to say. I used a Tim Holtz memento disk that says significant attached to the cuff with a purple (my Daddy's favorite color) gem brad. The 80 are stickers. The background paper was dry embossed with the retro circle from Tim Holtz.
So I have now noticed that I placed the arm too high on the panel and the 'a' of it's 'a' is obscured. Well you'll just have to trust me, it's there!
Happy Birthday Daddy. You will always be my Daddy no matter how old I get!
Thanks for having a closer look and your comments
all greatly appreciated.

Great card, Susan. Happy Birthday to your dad - mine was 80 this year too. I really like the distressed embossed background and the funky paper you used for the strips. It's a great use of the sketch.

HB to your Dad, Susan!! I love that hand holding the clocks!! It was worth all the effort to have everything be the right color! As usual, your card is amazing!! TFS, GF!

Wow, this is so unique - the embossed bg, the dp's, the great stamped image, the disc/brad - all adds up to a very special card for your Dad! Hope it's a very happy celebration for your family!
