Hi, this card was made for today's Ways To Use It Challenge and this week's Stampin' B's Challenge: paper piercing.
I have to say, this morning has been a horrible time for me. I called my mother's room at the hospital to make sure she was alright and had seen the doctor this morning. (I was with her all day yesterday and went to work at 9PM and just woke up after falling asleep at my desk around 5AM. Boy...I've got to make sure I don't leave paper clips on my desk because I've got an imprint of one on my left cheek! LOL Anyway, I called the hospital and the woman who answered said, "Oh, that other lady died last night." Thud. Seriously. Thud. I dropped the phone and burst out crying. Then, I decided to "Woman Up," and called my dad to find out if he knew yet. Well, he was cheery, and happy and started talking about having seen Mother this morning, etc. I started thinking that the Alzheimer's was getting worse. Then he said, "Oh, they moved your mother to another room last night, pretty late, because she is really improving!" I called the hospital, and they confirmed my father's claim! Miracles, people! My mother made it through the night! However, I think I have more gray hair, (is that possible??) because of the patient who told me my mother had died! Whew...and all that before 9AM!!!
So, to relax, I decided to play today's challenge. I used Wowza Watercolor Paper for the base and the pumpkins and focal panel. The moon was made by punching a large hole in a scrap piece of paper. I used my Copic Airbrush with several of the earthtones. I used the scrap's hole as a mask.
I cut the sentiment in half, (thank you LOIS for reminding me of this technique!) so that it would fit on the moon!
The pumpkins were colored with Copics.
Finished card size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Total time to complete: 41 minutes
