Another experiment with faux silk. Instead of using glue I used Mod Podge and I added metal flakes under the trees to look like the fallen leaves. I don't know if I actually achieved that effect, but the idea was there, so I thought it was worth a try.

I used the barely banana cs underneath the white tissue for a light creamy fall coloring. The mod podge dries clear. The metal flakes are on top of the tissue. They are a real pain to make stay on; they want to stick to everything but the card. They stick to the paint brush and then to the mod podge in the jar. You kind of have to hold them down with your finger. Mod podge is a sealer. It will seal them in. I didn't glue them down first, but that is a good thought. There is something you can use with them - I think it is a spray but I didn't have any on hand, so I made due with what I had.
The mod podge is really thick so it did come thru the tissue a bit. I poured the dazzling diamonds on top and then used a blush brush to dust it off a bit so it even added more texture to the look. You can't really tell that there is glitter on it thru the scan, but it is really pretty. The gold 2nd layer and the gold flakes really stand out too. It's a diferent look.
