This is one of the October cards that will go to my Mom or Aunt. I won't know until it's time for mailing. They won't know until they get them.
I did paper embroidery on the side punched strip. This is a great way to do the embroidery as you don't have to pierce all the holes yourself, the punch does it for you. Just make sure you stick with the same pattern throughout.
The leaves are dyed with food coloring, dried and cut with the Spellbinders dies. The pumpkin is stamped twice, once on the cream c/s that has been cut with the LAbel 11 nestie and another time on the patterned dp. The leaf is also stamped again onto a piece of green scrap c/s. Cut these second stampings out, and adhere to main stamped image, using dimensional adhesive for the leaf. Copper wire is twisted and used for the vine's curls.
The embroidered piece is adhered to 3 corresponding colors, then to card. After image panel has been adhered to card, leaves are adhered as shown.

I like this one. It looks like you used varigated thread in the strip. After making all the strips like this, I think I only used one. Maybe more for Xmas cards. Guess I need to get the leave die.
