While Priscilla is setting sail on a cruise, I've been hard at work trying to get my MMSC70 done. Come join the Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge here:
There's also a CAS version if you'd like to use that one.
I have no idea what happened to me while doing this sketch. My 1st thought was to use the crochet mirror I've had 4-ever and then took it a step further using shiny silver paper to replicate lot of different mirrors for our happy singing bird in the cage. I took it another step further again and embossed the mirrors with the allegro ef.
I added some burgundy ribbon criss cross on 3 of the mirror images and topped with some beautiful yellow flowers received in a RAK from Pat Smethers. Thanks SO MUCH Pat. A girl can never have too many flowers!
Added some vintage corner diecuts and silver pearls per the sketch. I paper pieced the birdcage, colored in the bird and some of the other elements along with silver stickles and glittered it up. All mirror and image popped up on dimensionals as well at the main silver panel.
Kind of a "different" card and didn't go anywhere that I had planned, but hope you like it.
Thanks SO MUCH for taking a look and have a great week.

It takes me back to the wonderful days when my grandparents had birds!! Budgies and canaries!! My grandma had this big routine with them - covering them up at 9 pm or so to sleep - and bathing them a few times a week - plus she played the canary - canary song records and they'd sing along! Oh your card takes me back!!!!

This is really different for you, but it is a great card. I grew up with birds (parrots and cockatiels) and they always loved mirrors - we had one that would sit in front of the mirror and say, "Fred is a pretty bird." It was so funny (got a little old after 10 years but it is funny now when I think about it). I love those pretty yellow Pat flowers and the burgandy. Great job on the sketch my friend - wish we were on that cruise!
