I decided to try Tim Holtz's wrinkled distress technique using Ranger's Distress Inks - thought it would make a good background. I wanted it to look like rocks - for the petroglyphys I was doing on this card. Used Vintage Photo, Tea Dye, Old Paper and Weathered wood on some vanilla cardstock scraps I had. He has a great video on this technique on his website - TimHoltz.com. After I finished the technique I very lightly spritzed it with Smooch Silver Foil, which gave it a great finishing touch.
The large Kokopelli is made from an American Traditional metal stencil I've had for years. The little Kokopelli is a Paper Shapers punch.
The 2 large feathers are real. My DH found them in the yard while mowing the grass and thought maybe I could use them on one of my cards. ;)
Several of the petroglyphs are old PSX stickers - wish I had gotten more of them now that they're no longer in business.
