I made 4 of these little lovelies for a co-worker. She takes them to her mother every so often. I am happy to create cards that make others happy!
I made this for the Stamp 2 Spend challenge #33, to pretend to be a VSN Hostess and create a challenge to go along with this month's theme. The VSN theme is "Summertime in the Land that I Love" and my challenge would be called Summer Sky. I love the sunsets in the summertime, as they are absolutely gorgeous. Maybe I stay up later and see the sunsets or maybe it's that we spend more time outside. Really, nothing beats watching the sunset with your family and friends! So I would challenge folks to use the Brayered Sky technique or some variation of it. I am brayer challenged, so I used sponges to create my sunset sky!
I did CASE hobbydujour for this card. My card is more bare bones than hers. See for yourself I omitted textured card stock, the scoring and the pearls. I only used three colors to create my sunset, sponged the dark orange all the way around my focal image and then popped it off the card base.
Thanks for looking!

This card is beautiful - it reminds me of the sunsets/sunrises I have seen at our family cottage. You have really captured the soft, hushed beauty of the moment. Thank you for sharing.

Just beautiful, Toni! I love the sunsets, too. I don't see them much for our tree line. But it means the moon and stars are coming soon.. they're my favorite. :-) Thanks for taking the challenge!
