I used Lydia Fiedler's tutorial on 'blended pencils' (shown in this weeks 9/1/2010 weekly inkling) to achieve this look. To me it was both time & labor intensive, but well worth the effort. I used crumb cake cs w/crumb cake ink, prismacolor premier pencils & a pentel extra fine point pen. I also used SU daubers to apply bashful blue and river rock for the sky and sand. There is a touch of champagne mist glimmer on the star & in the windows, but hard to see in photo. I then used crumb cake & a dauber to color edges of cs and used an unknown (old, old) punch for the corners, I also added a small dot of the champagne shimmer to the corners.
I so wanted this silhouette stamp image, but could never seem to get the image inked up evenly enough to suit me in silhouette, and then I saw this tutorial and thought I would give it a try. I am please with how it has turned out, gave stamp a whole new look. TFL

What a stunning card! So beautiful and peaceful looking. I have many shilouette stamps that I would love to try this technique on, can you tell me how it is done or the link to see the tutorial for this? Me email address is [email protected] Thanks so much for sharing. Like I said before BEAUTIFUL!
This is beautiful. I, too, would like a link to the tutorial. Tried doing a search without any luck. Would you mind posting the link to it or email me it. Thanks for sharing.
Gourgeous and a work of art! Wouldn't be able to make a lot of these for cards to send out, but perfect for a special card to give to a loved one. Leah
