Are you kidding? You did this after only 1 trashed attempt? Good for you! I'd HATE to tell you how many I trashed before I really learned how to do paste embossing of stencils. Fortunately I was doing them on scraps of cardstock I intended to layer with frames before affixing them to cards, so the waste wasn't too costly, except in tears and four-letter words. I ALMOST gave up! But then I did the big double pinecone Dreamweaver stencil on silver cardstock, using all the same stuff as that cypress tree one, and I was HOOKED! I should probably junk all my stamps because stenciling really is my passion.
Good job on this one. The sponged background is something I'll try next.
