Joan what a fun challenge today. After reading it, I went straight out side to the garbage can before the trash truck got here and pulled a box out. Okay, I just cut a few pieces off, didn't need the whole box. hehe.....more details...
For some reason, I thought cardboard would make great faux buttons since it is already thick. So I cut out some squares, gessoed and painted them, stamped over a few of them then, punched some holes and put diamond glaze over top. Then I went to work. That way I wouldn't be tempted to touch them too soon.
Came home, stamped this Plum Purdy image only because it was on my table. Colored it with prisma pencils and gamsol. Cut out an oval with my coluzzle and used it to sponged the inside edge of my oval only after I had versa marked and clear ep it.
Made a frame out of the card board. Gessoed it, then painted it red, after it dried I painted white. Put on a two step crackle finish that did not work, so after all was dried I sanded it down a little. Boy that stuff dries to a very hard finish!
Put my frame over my stamped image then onto a black card. Added one of my faux buttons with ribbon. Then put some of the punched out holes on the other three corners.
Well, this has a different look to it. I kind of like it hope you do too.....TFL :0)
