This is a fitting card in someways, for me. I love to do my best in everything in life, and when I make cards, it's especially true I want them to last and bring the receiver a smile
I love, love the monotone colors, in this card! It was something I've always wanted to do, but haven't done. And coupled with the My Favorite Things challenge "Getting Sentimental", this just worked out perfect
I used MFT stamp PI "Have a Blooming Good Day" with a free sentiment stamp set I received, from the Triple Scoop promo. I haven't even inked it up yet, I was still trying to decide how to use it But I love how it looks! I also used MFT Open Scallop Border too, under the matted image. I just love that die and how it cuts so cleanly! I placed some ribbons on the side of the card for added dimention and to break up all the nice pink going on. Then I used a punch to cut out small flowers to place some pearls on. I place pop dots under the main image, so it wouldn't look flat on the page either. I painted in her heart, hairbands, shoes and flower all in the same pink with my trusty Tombows and added a touch of soft watercolored green for another color in the picture.
I kept it all simple, because I love simple on monotone cards, it just looks so elegant that way

FABULOUS card!! Love the PI for the background - totally great idea! Love the softness and colors (monochrome) of this card too! Wonderful details and finishing touches of flowers, ribbon, pearls and die cut.
Love your pretty card! The ribbon tabs are a nice touch and I like how you made the main image subdued so that the sentiment remained the focus. Very clever.
