Roxie's VSN challenge was to create a card that reminded you of summer vacation. I grew up out in the country, and we didn't have a whole lot of money to spend on vacations. I have always loved to read. So . . . much of my summers were spent up in a tree, reading a book. Granted, as kids, we did explore in the woods (I remember coming home once, soaked almost to my waist because I slipped on a rock and fell in the creek!) But my passion was reading. I bought this Spellbinders die set because it reminded me of books! The tree stamp is called "Winter Woods," so I changed the season by sponging on some green leaves!

I never thought about reading in the tree but I sure spent plenty of time in the maple during the summer. LOL, mom caught on that I was hiding within hearing distance when she called.
Nice use of the images and wonderful sentiment. Thanks for playing along with the challenge.
This is a beautiful card. I remember spending a lot of time at the library when I was a kid trying to choose just the right book. My daughter used to take a book out to the pasture & read with her horse when she was younger. Great memories. Thanks for reminding me
