Hi! I made this card for today's sketch challenge! What a great sketch!!
Since I am somewhat caught up on card needs, I thought I would give myself a break today and make one just for fun! I decided to ink up my newest Halloween stamp set. As you can see, I have a dark side to me (when I was in nursing school, a friend and I used to go to a cemetary and look at all of the old tombs#, and although I keep it hidden most of the time, it does come out in my Halloween cards! That's probably why I love them so much!! LOL!
Anyway, I saw a sample card from this set in a stamping mag, and knew I just had to have it! I love all of the spooky components to it!! It's easy to create a little macabre scene with, too! So I inked parts of it up today, and played until I'm covered in ink and glimmer mist!! Boy, it was FUN!!!
After coloring the moon and clouds stamp with various inks, I stamped it onto scrap cs. I then inked the tree branch with crow in black and over stamped it so the crow was in the moon #boy I love cling stamps for that reason!) I added a bit more color with my ink pads and stipple brush and cut it out. I inked the graves in black and stamped them on another scrap cs, and added in darker but complementary inks with my stipple brush. I added glimmer mist to both pieces. I then stamped a saying and punched it out with a circle punch. Everything was matted on basic black.
For the background, I used my cuttlebug web folder, then added glimmer mist in black magic. Put the card together and decided it didn't need anything else!
TFL and have a great day!
