Hi! This card was made for today's Technique Lovers Challenge: Sparkly Stained Glass, and the Stampin' B's Challenge to use a die cut, circle and a flower on a card.
First, WOW! I can't believe how much glitter is on my stampin' table, my HAIR, arms and clothes...and well...ALL OVER MY OFFICE! A word to the wise...TURN OFF THE CEILING FAN BEFORE you start this project!!!
I didn't have all the supplies needed to follow the directions for this technique, BUT, I did get it to work and got the SAME results!
I stamped the OPEN hummingbird image in Palette Hybrid Ink onto the CLEAR stamp set liner that I had sitting on my desk! I turned the clear sheet over. Next, I used a 2 way glue pen and glued small areas to add EACH color of glitter. (Each area was glued and a color was added .) I cut out the image and used a glue dot to add it to the focal panel.
Finished size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Total time to complete...over an hour...I had to take a shower to get the glitter off my skin...I started to itch so much that I kinda freaked out!

Ooooh, what a beautiful hummingbird on your pretty card. I am much less intimidated by this technique after seeing what you did with a small image. I make sure my fans are off, but I still end up with glitter everywhere too!

This is very pretty! If anyone asks about the sparkle, just say it's your personality coming through! The glitter is okay on the body, it's when it gets into our eyes that's bad.
