The Ippity Hippity Hop Challenge for this week was to use string on a card created with Ippity stamps. A perfect opportunity, I thought, to use string from the hardware store. ("It's such a bargain, and the color is perfect, and the texture will add such dimension to my card..." I said to myself.) Although I do like the way it turned out, hardware store string is NOT easy to work with. Tacky glue is the only (and possibly the messiest) thing that will make it stick, and it's not at all flexible like expensive string from the craft store. Anyway, I paper pieced the flower from Ippity's Now and Always set using pieces from an old Michael's paper slab. It is matted on DCVW textured cardstock on a Paper Studio kraft card base. I left an area at the bottom right open to stamp a sentiment later, but I'm not sure of what sentiment I want to use yet. Thanks for looking!
