We once had a basset called Henrietta (same time as we had Rohrschach, a black cross between a standard poodle and ??. When you took them for walks you were nearly pulled in two, one dragged, one pulled!). This Henrietta, like me, is not into sports at all, but thought she could offer a repair service for any kit that accidentally gets torn, or split at the seams. Looking at her fancy stitchwork I dare say she could even repair the odd ball, too. Let me tell you, it is a LOT easier to stitch this on the scale of a wall hanging than it is on the scale of a small card, but it was the only idea I had when we weren't allowed bring any cats to the TPT Baseball Party this week.
5 3/4" base stitched round with red feather stitching. Unknown spotted DP edged with brown straight stitching.
Dog head was made from 2 round Nestabilties for the muzzle and head, 3 x 5/8" circles for the eyes and nose, round tab punch for the smile and hand-cut ears. All cut from white, and sponged with Soot Black, Vintage Photo and Spiced Marmalade distress inks.
I added a sticker with an A for Andrew in the corner.
It really needs something under Henrietta, but I'm too tired to think what right now.
There should have been some strawberry pavlova to bring along, but Henrietta scoffed the lot - sorry, guys!
