I was recently invited to do a workshop at an Assisted Living Facility for both residents and nursing staff. Needless to say, when I saw how happy they were to be doing something crafty, I asked permission to come back to stamp with them once a month, not as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, but as a volunteer. I cannot express enough how gratifying my experience with them was and that I'm very excited THEY are excited to have me back. Some needed a great deal of help, and others did just fine. But, they were all so tickled that they made something and got to KEEP it and use it however they wished. My heart was like ta' bust when I walked out the facility on Monday.
If you have any ideas for extremely simple stamping projects for the elderly that you believe they would enjoy, please contact me via the PM system, and send me a link, if you've uploaded. This was my first time, and I would love to see what you have done and share ideas!

Julie - the whole story behind this is so wonderful - it totally makes me smile. I have thought about doing some volunteer stampin' like this - I need to get my butt in gear and do it!
Good job! I too would like to do something with the elderly as my mom just recently went to an assisted living facility. I would take any ideas also. [email protected] Thanks!
