I made this card for my oldest daughter's first day of school, as a kindergartener. School starts Monday, and I'm already teary-eyed! My little baby is growing up!! She's so excited and I thought this would be fun to find in her lunchbox, along with her treats ;) She may not appreciate it now, but I sure enjoyed making it! Even if it was made because she is growing up so quick
I used a $1 sticker sheet, from Micheals, along with a cute paper (which you can't see that has all the school subjects on it, and ribbon, to keep it fun and girly. I pulled out my very, very limited collection of Copic Markers and used E00, E53 and R29 on the bus, to keep in the primary color theme and style. The ribbons were just $1 bin ribbons from Micheals.
I tried to keep it pretty cheap, but tried not to make it look that way. But I'm Really Happy with how it turned out! I Never use stickers, they aren't dimentional enough for me, so I choose not to use them. But when I saw these, I thought I'd give them a shot. I enjoyed this so much, maybe I'll make a card every year for the first day of school. Does anyone else do that?

Super Adorable first day of school card! Love you background paper and the ribbons! I have never made a back to school card before but I think I will this year! You can never have too many occasions to make a card.
This is perfect for this week's Treehouse Stamps Thursday challenge - the theme is back to school!
