Here's a fun "gift" I made up for my daughter called a Strawberry Shortcake Journal Jar and Journal!
The idea is for her to pull a prompt from the jar - paste it on her page and write about it.
Here are the supplies I used on the journal jar and S.S. journal
* Image from here -http://i-love-cartoons.com/snags/clipart/index.php
* Circle/Scallop/Blossom II nestabilities
* Wide strawberry - fabric ribbon
* Pink Ric Rak
* Red stitched ribbon
* Red/Pink/White Cardstock
* Alphabet stamps (K & Company)
* Floral Borders (Autumn Leaves - Stampology)
Mine is for a 7 (almost yr. old so the prompts are childish in nature --- I listed several sites (on my blog) that I drew inspiration from.
Also doing an adult version -- more on the order of "My Life's Story." There are also links (on by blog) for that sort of journal prompt.
The adult journal jar (I'll post a picture later) has 130 prompts in it.
The child's version started out with 50 - but I re-did the prompts on patterned paper (to make the page more interesting when you glue them on) and ended up doing 91.
A few prompts I included in this jar are:
My favorite food is...
My favorite candy is...
My favorite season is...
My favorite holiday is...
Five things I want to do in my lifetime
In 10 years, I will be...
My best friend is..
What I want to be when I grow up
My favorite room in my house is...
If I could have three wishes they would be...
