Hi! This card was made for today's Color Combination Challenge: Daffodil, Pear and Grape.
Markie is still awake, and decided to WAKE ME UP to keep him company. Gee, thanks, buddy! LOL I decided he needed to READ A BOOK, and I'm stamping. He wanted to stamp too, but there is not enough space in my little stampin' room for me, 2 boxers, Speedy the Cat and Markie! One of us had to go read a book, and since the dogs and Speedy the Cat don't read, (they prefer books on tape!), Markie had to go to the living room to read!
The vine was stamped in Adirondack's Pitch Black. I sponged in Distress inks for the blooms and background. Next, I colored in the leaves with a Memento marker. I finished by adding Inkssentials pen dots to the blooms.
The butterfly was stamped in Pitch Black and I sponged in Palette Hybrid Inks! I added in Inkssentials dots.
The background was run through a Sizzix Texture Folder.
Finished card size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Time to complete: approx. 35 minutes...I had to get up and fix the microwave...someone turned on the vent fan and couldn't get it to turn off, so it started making a HUGE racket and woke up the entire household, including that big angry bear who sleeps in my bed and PRETENDS he's my husband! LOL

A real beauty!! Love the embossing and the coloring on your gorgeous butterfly. Sponging in the center is awesome. (We give our office Macaw old books to chew up to keep him entertained. It's quite messy and very entertaining. I hope Markie enjoyed his book.)

Being creative on a restless night, are we? Great card, but I thought it might have been better to let an angry lear lie!!!

WOW Faith, I love those grapes on the vines around your circle frame. so serene. Looks just like you are looking through a window with a grape vine all around you and the sun is getting ready to rise. WOW
